✂️ How-To’s, Tricks & Tips Series Intro
I’ve been making cards for over 15 years, and if there’s one thing I know for sure—it doesn’t take a fancy craft store to make something beautiful. All you need is paper, scissors, and a little curiosity. Anything can be an embellishment if you look at it sideways: a scrap of denim, a torn edge, a sticker that’s been waiting for its moment.
This series is where I share the design tricks, layout logic, and paper quirks I’ve picked up along the way. We’ll talk about the power of fonts, the rule of three, how to build a card that feels intentional, and how to coax texture out of a printer when you want denim but only have ink. Some tools are new to me (hello, Cameo 5), but the rhythm is rooted in years of making.
It’s not about perfection—it’s about play, intuition, and the kind of handmade charm that turns simple materials into something that resonates. If you like your tips with a little sass and your paper with a little personality, you’re in the right place.
New entries will pop up every so often—there’s no set schedule, just inspiration. When a trick feels too good not to keep to myself, or a design moment makes me pause and grin, it’ll land here. This series grows like a good collection: slowly, intentionally, and with a little surprise baked in.
