Building the Firefly Love 5 × 7 Card

Hi there! Today we’re going to build this cute Firefly Love Card — a sweet little project that glows with charm.

🪶 Step 1: Import and Prep

1. Import the SVG file into Silhouette Studio. (I use Silhouette Studio 5 Biz Ed with the Cameo 5.)

2. Ungroup the layers and move everything except the card topper off the mat.

3. Move the topper off the mat and ungroup it.

4. Turn on registration marks.

✂️ Step 2: Print & Cut

1. Slide the bottom two layers onto the mat, then print and cut them with registration marks on.

2. Repeat for the embellishments and inside layers.

3. Turn off registration marks and print the base color sheet on both sides of one sheet of cardstock — this becomes your base color sheet.

4. Use that sheet to cut out the base.

Now you’ve got all your parts printed and cut — time to build!

💖 Step 3: Assemble the Topper

1. Glue together the bottom two layers of the topper.

2. If you’d like to add glitter to the hearts and fireflies, do that now and let it dry.

3. Once dry, arrange them on the base of your topper however looks best to you.

4. Add any other embellishments you love — make it your own!

5. Set the topper aside.

🪄 Step 4: Build the Base

1. Find the center of the base and score it if needed.

2. Fold the base in half and press firmly to create a clean crease.

3. Glue in the two inside panels.

4. Glue the topper to the front of the base.

And there you have it — one Firefly Love Card, ready to share whenever you feel like sending a little light and love.
